Lucius W. Pond Single Action Belt Revolver
The Pond Single Action Belt Revolver was made c. 1861 to 1870. Due to their similarity of his revolver to competing Smith & Wessons, Pond was sued for patent infringement and forced to cease production. The nearly 5,000 revolvers remaining in Pond's inventory were marked, "MANUF'D FOR SMITH & WESSON" prior to sale. SN 3212
