Stagecoach (1939)
Stagecoach (1939)
John Wayne as The Ringo Kid
Winchester Model 1892 - .32-20 caliber
This Model 1892 Winchester was cut down to 15" so John Wayne could
spin the gun much like he would a pistol, without it hitting under
his arm. In his opening scene in John Ford's classic Western
Stagecoach, the Duke does just that to hail the
stagecoach. Registered under the National Firearms Act of 1934,
this gun was one of the oldest originally registered NFA weapons
when it was transferred to the National Firearms Museum in
2007.
