Lefever G Grade shotgun
Lefever G Grade 12 grade shotgun manufactured in 1894.
Lefever Arms Company double-barreled shotgun with 30 inch Damascus pattern barrels. Non-ejector. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock and forearm. Silver rectangular plate in stock engraved "SH DuPont". Water table marked "G" indicating G Grade, introduced in 1892 and produced until company was sold to Ithaca Guns in 1915.
The G Grade offered at $75, was a utility shotgun and the biggest seller in the Lefever line. Although a modest-priced gun, it incorporated features for which Lefever was famous: ball-and-socket hinge, affording a easy adjsutament for wear; cocking indicators; adjustable top fastener and a concealed forearm release.
