Colt Match Target Pistol
Scroll-engraved with gold accent; ivory grips.
Colt rounded out its ensemble of automatics with the inimitable
Woodsman. Many youngsters regarded the Woodsman .22 as the start of
their affection for and understanding of guns and the out-of-doors.
From 1915 to the mid-1970s, nearly 650,000 Woodsman .22s and
related Colts were manufactured under the model names Woodsman (the
original), Target, Sport, Match Target, Challenger, Huntsman and
Targetsman.
