VC Schilling Mauser KAR 88 Cavalry Carbine
The Mauser KAR 88 Cavalry Carbine is essentially a Mannlicher-style firearm, featuring a spoon bolt and a clip loading system. This particular example has a chamber date of 1892 and was made by VC Schilling in Suhl. The barrel is stamped with pre-war unit markings and the stock bears proof marks. This carbine was later converted to the 8x57S cartridge. Donated by Dan Healy.
