U.S. Remington M24 Sniper rifle
Factory issued M24 sniper rifle with Remington manufactured 5R rifled barrel and Leupold M3 day-optic. This battle-proven design since 1988 has been standard issue to USAF and US Army units and has also been accepted by many foreign nations. The M24 comes in a Hardigg hard case that will float and holds related accessories including a Harris bipod, spare parts/tools case, sling, and day-optic case.
Remington's M24 sniper rifle platform was designed on their long Model 700 action to allow for caliber conversion for enhanced capabilities. While the majority of M24 units are chambered for the 7.62x51mm cartridge, the capability exists for end users to swap this barrel for a .300 Winchester Magnum barrel.
As a backup to the Leupold day optic, M24 rifles are issued with "iron" sights that can be mounted to the receiver and barrel. In the past, Redfield "Palma" sights were part of the M24 package, but current issue units come with Okay-Weber sights.
