Fake Colt First Model Dragoon Revolver
About 7,000 First Model Dragoon revolvers were manufactured between 1848 and 1850. These guns featured the Texas Ranger - Indian fight scene on the six-shot .44 caliber cylinder, one-piece walnut grips, a casehardened frame, loading lever, and hammer, oval-shaped cylinder stop slots, and a square-backed trigger guard. Counterfeit copies of certain rare or otherwise collectible guns are sometimes made by altering original parts from less valuable guns, or by manufacturing and "aging" required parts. Only the cylinder of this pistol is original. SN 1106
