Fake Colt First Model Dragoon Revolver

About 7,000 First Model Dragoon revolvers were manufactured between 1848 and 1850. These guns featured the Texas Ranger - Indian fight scene on the six-shot .44 caliber cylinder, one-piece walnut grips, a casehardened frame, loading lever, and hammer, oval-shaped cylinder stop slots, and a square-backed trigger guard. Counterfeit copies of certain rare or otherwise collectible guns are sometimes made by altering original parts from less valuable guns, or by manufacturing and "aging" required parts.
