Starr Percussion Carbine
Approximately 20,000 carbines were produced by the Starr Arms company of Yonkers, NY from 1862 to 1865. This .54 caliber percussion carbine was initially issued to Western Theatre units, including the 1st Arkansas, 5th Kansas, and 11th Missouri cavalry regiments. Early production examples had brass furniture.
