Colt Model 1883 shotgun

This fine condition Model 1883 shotgun was one of approximately 7,300 manufactured from 1883 to 1895. Fitted with high grade damascus barrels, this shotgun was one of the most expensive models offered during its short twelve year period of production.
Generally, Colt considered the Model 1883 shotgun as a custom order piece and this model was not sold by the company commercially in large orders. The quality on this model was kept very high and special barrels with Damascus patterns spelling out C-O-L-T are known to exist.
