Quackenbush Convertible Air Rifle
The patchbox of this air rifle contains a small conversion piston that serves as a floating firing pin for rimfire cartridges. The piston can be removed to allow pellets to be fired and when the piston is added, air pressure causes the piston to impact the cartridge case.
