H. Sauer Percussion Target Rifle
This gold-inlaid and engraved target rifle was fitted with both a hooded barrel sight and an adjustable tang-mounted vernier sight. The back-acting lock was preferred by some European shooters who elected to cock their rifles with a forward push from the firing position. Similar rifles were still being used in competitions in the 1950s.
