Heartbreak Ridge (1986)
Heartbreak Ridge (1986)
Clint Eastwood as SGT Thomas "Gunny" Highway
Medal of Honor
In this 1986 Eastwood epic about a platoon of US Marine Corps
misfits, Eastwood plays a former US Army noncommissioned officer
who earned the Medal of Honor during the Korean War and later
transferred into the USMC. A replica Medal of Honor was cast for
him to wear from a neck ribbon during a Mess Dress ball scene but
was never actually filmed. This cased medal was acquired with
numerous other props worn by Eastwood during the film.
