Jager Waffenfabrik Semi Automatic Pistol
This pistol forshadowed later development in firearms production in that it was designed for simplicity of production as a prime consideration. With the exception of certain key parts, including the barrel, breech block, striker, and recoil spring, the Jager pistol was fabricated from steel stampings. Although tests showed it to be both reliable and accurate, the German High Command did not approve its production for use by the Kaiser's troops.
