Mauser Werke K98k ZF 41 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle
This German sniper arm with matching-numbered scope bears the Nazi production code "ar," signifying manufacture by Mauser Werke in Berlin-Borsigwalde, Germany. The 1.5X ZF-41 (ZF=Zielfernrohr, or "telescopic") sight mounted above the original folding rear sight. These scopes featured a low profile and, due to their mounts, clip loading was possible. However, its narrow field of view proved to be a deficit, and the ZF-41 was later replaced by a side-mounted 4X scope.
