U.S. General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear Division M1 Carbine
Both the Saginaw Steering Gear and Inland Manufacturing Divisions of General Motors received Second World War defense contracts to produce M1 carbines. In addition, GM's Guide Lamp Division also manufactured the Liberator pistol and the M3 "Grease Gun."
